Tigerlok’s customers consistently return due to their commitment to quality, security, and reliable locks. But despite Tigerlok’s high ratings within the industry, their website was underperforming. It primarily functioned as a product display platform, with orders being placed via phone and email.
Traditionally, Tigerlok’s main client base consisted of builders working on commercial projects. However, as their product line expanded, they began to cater to high-end interior designers. When Tigerlok approached Forwardslash, they sought to create a website for their new brand, Embelle. Embelle promised the same sleek, durable products as Tigerlok but with more sophisticated designs tailored to the tastes and needs of interior designers and their clientele.

We developed a highly functional website for Embelle, incorporating intuitive UX for easy ordering and purchasing. The site included e-commerce features such as categorized lists, filters, product search, color and feature options, and a store finder to locate the nearest retail locations.


Unleashing the Tiger
With Embelle's fresh, stylish web presence and seamless
e-commerce capabilities in place, it was time to revamp Tigerlok’s website. Using a plugin, we replicated the Embelle website and created a multi-site platform, allowing users to toggle between both brands. We then wrote new copy to align with Tigerlok’s brand and adjusted the design elements to match Tigerlok’s color palette and typography.

With both Tigerlok and Embelle integrated into a multi-site, customers can now enjoy a unified shopping experience. They can browse and order from both websites using a linked cart, shared search, and synchronized menu, allowing them to purchase products from both brands simultaneously.
